Second activity
20 minutes
For students to make connections among emotions they aknowledge and the ones that actually exist, we will use the Bee-bots game.
The teacher will begin the session and will explain the rules of the game.
MATERIALS
RULES
Gameboard in which there are at least 18 emotions, each one in an individual square.
Cards with situations written on them (E.g. your mother gives you a present, it starts raining and you don't have an umbrella with you, etc.)
Bee-bots
A dice
Divide the class in five groups of five children each
In groups, every member will take turns to roll a dice.
Then they will pick a situation card
Depending on the number they got on the dice, they will get more or less movements for the bee-bot to move around the board. (One point on the dice is equal to just pressing the bee-bot moving button one time, Five points equals to five movements of the bee-bot, etc)
The situation cards will contain situations that children will have to act up according to the feeling the square in which they placed the bee-bot contains.
After the acting of the player, the next one will get his/her turn: Roll the dice, pick a card, move the bee-bot, act!
